1. INTRODUCTION

1.1 About This Document

This document explains what services we provide at FLAWLS PERFORMANCE AUTOMOTIVE and what we expect from our customers. By bringing your vehicle to our workshop, you agree to follow these terms and conditions.

1.2 Our Commitment

We are committed to providing quality automotive services while following all laws and regulations in Western Australia. We want to make sure you understand our processes and requirements before we start working on your vehicle.

 

2. OUR SERVICES

2.1 Workshop Services

We provide automotive repair, maintenance, and performance upgrade services for selected types of vehicles.

2.2 Performance Upgrades

We offer performance modifications and improvements to increase your vehicle’s power and/or efficiency.

2.3 Dyno-Tuning Services

We provide professional dyno-tuning services to select vehicles, to optimize your performance after modifications.

 

3. PAYMENT TERMS

3.1 Parts Payment

All parts must be paid in full before they are ordered. We will not order any parts until we have received full payment.

3.2 Quote Changes

The final invoice total may be different from the original quote. This can happen when:

  • The job becomes more complex than expected
  • We find additional problems that need fixing
  • You request extra work

We will always discuss any changes with you before we do additional work or order more parts.

3.3 Final Payment

You must pay your invoice in full before you can pick up your vehicle. We will not release your vehicle until all payments are complete.

 

4. CUSTOMER RESPONSIBILITIES

4.1 Payment Obligations

You must pay all invoices on time and in full as agreed.

4.2 Vehicle Condition

You must tell us about any known problems or issues with your vehicle before we start work.

4.3 Communication

You must provide accurate contact information and respond to our calls or messages about your vehicle as best possible.

 

5. VEHICLE POSSESSION AND OWNERSHIP

5.1 Unpaid Accounts

If you do not pay your invoice in full, your vehicle remains the property of Flawls Performance Automotive until payment is complete.

5.2 Storage Fees

Vehicles left at our workshop after completion of work, may be subject to daily storage fees if payment is not made within the agreed timeframe.

 

6. PRE-INSPECTION REQUIREMENTS

6.1 Pre Dyno-Tune Inspection Checklist

Before any dyno-tuning work begins, we must complete a full inspection of your vehicle. This inspection includes:

6.1.1 Engine Components

  • Oil level and condition
  • Coolant level and condition
  • Air filter condition
  • Ignition system – spark plugs and leads condition
  • Fuel system check

6.1.2 Safety Systems

  • Brake system inspection
  • Tire condition, age and pressure
  • Exhaust system check
  • Electrical system check
  • Engine / Transmission mountings inspection

6.1.3 Performance Components

  • Turbo/supercharger inspection (if fitted)
  • Intercooler and hoses check (if fitted)
  • ECU connectivity check
  • Sensor functionality test

6.2 Mandatory Pre-Inspection

If your vehicle is getting performance upgrades that will directly affect or improve performance, requiring dyno work, a pre-inspection is required. This is not optional. We cannot start performance work without completing this inspection first.

 

 

7. PERFORMANCE UPGRADES AND DYNO-TUNING

7.1 Fuel Requirements

Any vehicle getting performance upgrades and dyno-tuning must have a full tank of quality fuel before we start the tuning process. This is required to ensure we have sufficient fuel to carry out tuning and testing accurately. 

7.2 Performance Modification Disclosure

You must inform us about any existing modifications to your vehicle before we start any new performance work.

7.3 Warranty Implications

Performance modifications may affect your vehicle’s warranty. We will discuss this with you before starting any work.

 

8. LEGAL COMPLIANCE

8.1 Western Australia Regulations

All our work complies with Western Australian automotive workshop laws and regulations.

8.2 Vehicle Standards

We ensure all modifications meet Australian Design Rules and local vehicle standards where required.

8.3 Consumer Protection

These terms and conditions work alongside your rights under Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in this document removes your legal consumer rights.
